Kathmandu: Anjan Bisht has won the best male player of the year award in the Sports Award 2078 as a member of Nepali men’s national football team.

Nepal Sports Journalists Forum (NSJF) organized a program at Pragya Pratishthan in Kathmandu and awarded Bista the best male athlete of the year on Tuesday.

Bisht, who is the third highest scorer in the national tally, beat Kiran Chemjong of football, Dipendra Singh Airi and Kushal Bhurtel of cricket and Prince Dahal of badminton to win the award.

Anjan scored in the World Cup 2022 match against Chinese Taipei. Similarly, he scored in the 13th SAFF Championship against Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
