Arsenal beat West Brom 6-0 in the second round of the League Cup

Agency: Arsenal, Southampton and Burnley have won the Carabao Cup last night. London club Arsenal beat West Brom 6-0 at home.

Pierre-Emerick Obamayang scored a hat-trick in Arsenal’s win, while Martin Odegaard, Myitland Niles and Nicolas Pepe scored one apiece. Southampton beat Newport County 8-0 in another game of the League Cup.

The victory over Newport, the fourth-ranked side in English football, is the biggest win for Southampton so far. Burnley also advanced to the fourth round after beating Newcastle United 4-3 in a penalty shootout in the next game of the League Cup.
