Nepal won the ODI match against PNG by seven wickets
Kathmandu: Nepal won the One Day International (ODI) match against Papua New Guinea (PNG) by seven wickets in the ICC World Cup Cricket League-2.
Nepal achieved the target of 184 runs set by PNG at the Dubai International Cricket Ground for the loss of only three wickets in 37 overs. Arif Sheikh was the top scorer for Nepal with 59 runs.
Similarly, Kaushal Bhurtel got 50, Rahat Padel 44 and Ashif Sheikh got two while Deepender Singh Airi got out for zero. For the bowling side, Charles Amini of PNG took two wickets and Kabuwa Mare took one.
Earlier, batting first after losing the toss, PNG scored 173 runs for the loss of eight wickets in the stipulated 50 overs. Captain Asad Bhala scored 45 runs for PNG.
Similarly, four sappers scored 22 and Lega Sika scored 20 runs. Nepal’s Sandeep Lamichhane and Sompal Kami scored two runs each.
