Kathmandu: Nepal has taken the two wickets of Papua New Guinea (PNG) in the tri-nation T20 International Cricket Series. Nepal has given a target of 204 runs to PNG.

Batting first, Nepal lost seven wickets in the allotted 20 overs and scored 203 runs. Dipendra Singh Airy was the top scorer for Nepal with 66 runs.

Similarly, Rahit Padel scored 41 and Ashif Sheikh 38 while Adil Alam, who made his T20I debut, scored 31 off 11 balls. Kaushal Bhurtel scored 17, Arif Sheikh scored two not out and Karan KC scored one.

On the bowling side, PNG’s Kabua Mare took three wickets. Riley Hikure took two wickets while Norman Vanua and Nasina Paekna took one wicket each.

Today’s game is Nepal’s 50th T20 international game. Nepal has so far won 27 out of 49 Twenty20 Internationals, lost 21 and drawn one. All-rounder Adil Ansari has made his debut in today’s match. Adil has made his debut in place of Kushal Malla.

Earlier, Nepal had defeated Malaysia by 6 wickets in the second match on Wednesday and PNG by 15 runs in the first match on Monday. With the second consecutive victory.

Nepal is at the top of the table with four points and has strengthened its chances of reaching the final. Nepal will play its fourth match against Malaysia again next Saturday.
