Farewell to the Nepali national cricket team heading to the UAE to play the Unity Cup T20
Kathmandu: The Nepali national cricket team, which will be heading to the UAE to play the Unity Cup T20 International series against the West Indies, has been bid farewell.
At a program organized by CAN at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground in Kirtipur on Thursday, NSC Member Secretary Tankal Ghising and CAN officials bid farewell to the team.

Nepal is set to play a three-match T20 series against West Indies in the UAE. In which Nepal will play on October 11, 13 and 14.
Nepal will participate in the World Cup qualifiers by playing a historic T20I series against the West Indies in the UAE.
Nepal’s goal is to play the World Cup for the third time by passing the qualifying stage. At the farewell program, Nepali national cricket team captain Rohit Kumar Poudel said that the series with the West Indies is very important for Nepal and that the team has prepared well and the players are ready.
He also mentioned that special attention was paid to the previous matches for the World Cup qualifiers. Before the farewell program, the Nepali cricket team lit candles in memory of the martyrs who lost their lives during the Genji Movement at the Tribhuvan University Ground, Kirtipur.
Cricket player Sulabh Raj Shrestha also died during the protest.
