Spain enters the semifinal after beating Portugal 1-0 in last night
Kathmandu: Spain reached the final four after defeating Portugal in the UEFA Nations League. Spain beat the home team by 1-0 in last night’s match.
Alvaro Morata’s goal in the 88th minute of the game was decisive for Spain. Cristiano Ronaldo had a chance to equalize in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper saved it.
With the win, Spain remained at the top of Nations League ‘A’ Group 2 with 11 points from 6 games.
Defeated Portugal finished second with 10 points, Switzerland third with 9 points and the Czech Republic fourth with 4 points. In the next match of this group, Switzerland defeated the Czech Republic 2-1.
Switzerland’s Remo Fruehler and Brill Imvolo scored, while Czech Republic’s Patrik Sik returned a goal. Croatia, Netherlands and Italy have already made it to the final four in the UEFA Nations League.
